# 5 Strategies for Restaurant Employee Retention

Employee retention in the fast casual food industry has always been a challenge, but it is even more of a challenge in this economy. Offering competitive salaries and attractive benefits is a good start, but not the only things your employees want. To maximize employee retention, owners and managers should:

## 1.Provide the necessary tools your employee needs

## 2. Invest in exceptional employee training

When employees understand what is required of them from the start, they are more likely to be satisfied with their jobs and less likely to quit.
