Symply Launches a Free Employee Onboarding Tool for Small Businesses

Symply, a modern payroll and HR platform designed for small businesses, announced they are offering a new employee onboarding tool free of charge. Unlike other onboarding services, Symply’s tool is available to use for free forever. It’s not a trial subscription that users have to cancel before they are charged; there is no payment method required to create an account and use the tool.

Traditional onboarding involves a lot of in-person paperwork on the new hire’s first day. The problem is it requires an employee to be physically present and leaves a lot of room for error during the transfer of information. 

 

“Our onboarding tool solves both of these problems by using digital forms and reducing the touchpoints,” says Demerjian. “When a new hire completes onboarding, there’s no paperwork to scan or manually key into a database. The information is stored in Symply exactly how the employee entered it and can be viewed or updated from any device with an internet connection by the employer or employee.” 

 

When a new employee is hired, the employer can enter their email address and a few basic details and let them take over the rest. The new employee will receive an email inviting them to complete the onboarding process on their own, and the employer is notified when the forms are ready to review. 

 

Another valuable feature of Symply’s onboarding tool is the custom document builder. “A lot of small businesses are just starting their digital transformation. They have a lot of antiquated documents that need to be brought online, and the quickest way to do that is to turn them into fillable PDFs,” Demerjian. 

 

Employers can upload their existing documents into Symply and use the drag & drop features to add custom fields and signatures to turn them into digital forms. Combining these features makes onboarding remote employees easy and reduces the time and errors involved in onboarding across the board.
